sub box advice

Hi everyone,

Firstly, apologies for not being active very much on here. Been really busy at uni and apologies for the long post!

Since i'm on me xmas hols, thought i'd pay some attention to the car's audio system.

Some of you may know I have a peugeot 306 (pics are in "say hi" section). Quick update:

So far i've installed a set of focal 165k speakers in front and rear parcel shelf, sony mex-bt2600 headunit.I've kept the inside of the car subtle and discreet with the speakers by installing them behind the factory grills.(Would put pics up if I woke up before it gets dark!)

I followed the advice I got from here and have purchased a rockford fosgate p3sd410 (shallow) subwoofer and a p300-1 amp for it. Over the coming days i'll be building the box for it which i'd like it to keep discreet and space saving. What am trying to figure out is should I make a box that is mounted at the back of the boot behind the seats or at the side to keep maximum boot space? Is it ok to build a box that is really shallow and long or make it a cube shape so it's tucked away in one corner?

Before xmas I was bored at uni and thought i'd design a box using 3d CAD so that I can achieve the correct air volume for the box.Heres my initial design:

Make the slant on the box the same as the angle of the rear seats to save space, go for a sealed enclosure and make it shallow as possible. A friend advised me to mount the sub as low as possible to have more air behind the sub so heres my first sketch:

Would this layout be ok or any recomendations the sound guru's have?

Your help and advice is much appreciated and happy new year to everyone
